Just a few days after watching Anthony’s No reservation on Washington DC, we decide to go to the Maine Fish Market, a place where Washingtonians all know about it. Shame on us! We didn’t have a clue before this episode and it’s time to redeem ourselves!
A sunny weekend like today, we took the metro to Smithonian and walked south along the 12th street. After a few blocks, we observed the fish market. Indeed, a market full of fresh seafood, crab, shrimp, cod, you named it. We were excited to explore this place and walked around several shops. After living here for almost a year and half, a place like this makes us all wonder: why go somewhere else shopping for seafood? This is THE place in DC.
There are apparently more fun than a whole bunch of sea creatures; we chat with a local African-American who has a wonderful 75-pound American Bulldog called “SA”. A surprise to us is the size of this beautiful dog, especially her head. We all thought she is a UK bulldog. Obviously, Ally must take some photos with her. I guess we like this place because everyone is so friendly and the crab-cake sandwich, fish taco, raw oyster, clam chowder, Maryland crab soup all taste great! Obviously, we will definitely come back and enjoy this wonderful place. Thank you Anthony!
